Thermal insulation cover
The use of the GetProt 120 and GetProt 150 thermal protection sleeves significantly extends the dwell time of the GetDew Go measuring devices in the process, especially at high temperatures. The relationship between ambient air temperature and the dwell time in the process can be seen in the adjacent graph. The application-specific installation of the cover provides a high degree of flexibility. The basic device can still be used in space-critical applications and is also easily portable for long-term processes.
The thermal protection cover consists of two half-shells that are simply placed over the top and bottom of the measuring device and screwed together at the sides. Installation takes less than a minute. After a measurement process, the cover can be removed and cooled just as easily.
The outer material of the cover is made of thin stainless steel, ensuring a tolerable weight. The PTFE insulation at the joints of the covers and the high-temperature-resistant insulating materials inside result in very high thermal resistance. A series connection of different heat capacities and thermal resistances ensures a significant increase in the thermal time constant of the entire system.
The additional insulation layer increases the overall height of the measuring device. Since longer operating times usually occur in conjunction with larger finished product dimensions, the possible applications are not restricted by the greater height.
